personal note: domestic violence, sexual abuse and femicides are sensitive topics that need a lot of attention and compassion. a campaign that wants to inform and offer help to victims sounds like a great idea worth supporting, which is why I got involved in this project in the first place.

however, I do agree with the general criticism on The Female Company‘s decision to link their activism to capitalist interests by promoting the website through a luxury product.

help shouldn’t be hidden behind a “paywall” or price tag. a sensitive topic like this should not be used to raise profits!

although, I do believe the website is a great resource to inform about the problem and to offer help - as long as it is accessible to everyone and not exclusive to buyers of a product.

nonetheless I’m happy with the outcome of the spot and thankful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated production team to help raise awareness for a critical issue!
