remote monitoring


Introduced with Resolve 18.5, we now have the possibility to offer Remote Monitoring directly out of Resolve to your device, without the need to go through a 3rd party streaming client.

What do you need?

  • Streaming Device like iPad oder iPhone

  • DaVinci Remote Monitor App or Desktop App that comes with Resolve Studio 18.5

  • Blackmagic Cloud Account

How to set up?

  1. Create an account for the Blackmagic Cloud service. You’ll need this to log in to the app. It’s completely free to create an account.

  2. Download the Remote Monitor App from the app store onto your device. Log in with your account and paste the session code your colourist provided you with.

    (If you have a Resolve Studio Licence, the Remote Monitor App is automatically installed with your software to use on your desktop device).

  3. Switch your Ipad into Reference Mode (12,9” 5th generation, or newer) - if you’re device doesn’t have the option to switch into reference mode, make sure True Tone is disabled and set your brightness to about 80%.
